JaMasha Lacy is a PharmD graduate from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy.  She is a licensed pharmacist in Louisiana and Mississippi. Dr. Lacy possesses a strong foundation in retail pharmacy, which includes tenure at Walgreens since 2002.  She was promoted to a Walgreens Pharmacy Manager role after 5 years of being a licensed pharmacist. Dr. Lacy is known for her leadership skills, and she has a proven track record of training and managing diverse teams to deliver exceptional performance outcomes. In 2017, she transitioned to a Pharmacy Manager role in Specialty Pharmacy, she has excelled in cultivating positive relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers. She is unparalleled in providing personalized care to ensure that patients with rare, complex medical conditions and those being administered high-cost therapies receive effective and tailored treatment plans that provide the most beneficial outcomes.  In 2021, Dr. Lacy became Certified as a Specialty Pharmacist by the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board, her expertise includes handling limited distribution drugs, securing prior authorizations, and assisting patients with managing out-of-pocket costs. She has assisted the cardiologists at Tulane Medical Center with authorizations for cholesterol medications. She also participated as a presenter for the CHERISH study, a church-based study, discussing conversations with doctors and medication mindfulness.  Recently, with the support of her leadership team, Dr. Lacy was selected to be an ambassador for the Healthcare Business Women Association (HBA) 2023-2024 cohort sponsored by Walgreens.
