Achieving Access to High-Quality Care Across the Spectrum of Age and Patient Type to Improve Overall Outcomes for Atopic Dermatitis - Baseline Assessment

Answer the following questions to assess your knowledge and competence on the management of atopic dermatitis.

Module 1 - Management of Atopic Dermatitis in Pediatric Patients

Payers and pediatric dermatologists may encounter several challenges in working together. This activity will discuss strategies to improve communication and collaboration to resolve coverage issues, address reimbursement concerns, and streamline administrative processes.

Module 2 - Management of Atopic Dermatitis in Adult Patients

Knowledge of clinical, economic, and humanistic burden of atopic dermatitis in adults, and recommended treatments, can empower managed care and payer decision makers toward implementing health care benefit policy strategies to reduce disease burden and enhance treatment outcomes.

Please review an example of a 12-year-old boy with AD with worsening symptoms and then reflect on the questions below on how the application of managed care principles can improve access to appropriate treatment.

Management of Atopic Dermatitis in Adult Patients

Please review an example of a 26-year-old African American female diagnosed with AD as an infant and then reflect on the questions below on therapeutic options and coverage policies to reduce barriers to treatment access that will improve outcomes in AD.
