Joy Wan, MD, MSCE

Assistant Professor of Dermatology
John Hopkins University School of Medicine

Dr. Joy Wan is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include pediatric dermatology and atopic dermatitis.

Dr. Wan received her undergraduate degree in biochemical sciences from Harvard University and her M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed dermatology residency training at the University of Pennsylvania and pediatric dermatology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She also pursued postdoctoral research training in clinical epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Wan joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2021.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Wan leads an active research program focused on epidemiologic and patient-oriented investigations of pediatric skin diseases including eczema.

Heather Woolery-Lloyd, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and is also board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd is an internationally recognized dermatology and wellness expert. She has been featured in various publications including Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd has lectured at national and international conferences on dermatology, skincare, and wellness. She founded DermFriends, a platform that provides a reliable source of skincare education and expert recommendations for common skin, hair, and nail concerns.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd participates extensively in clinical research, serving as an investigator in dozens of FDA clinical trials with an emphasis on increasing the inclusion of skin of color patients.

Dr. Woolery-Lloyd practices dermatology in both a private practice and an academic setting. She currently serves as Director of the Skin of the Color Division for the University of Miami Department of Dermatology. She also is an active member of the Skin of Color Society and the American Academy of Dermatology.
